I am in Singapore on business. My phone works. I'm able to text people in the U.S. the standard method of dialing out of Singapore is 001,1,then the 10 digit U.S. number. That does not work. I checked to see what network I'm on and it is a CDMA because for some reason I'm not getting GSM where I am. Does anyone know how to dial to the U.S. from Singapore on a Blackberry storm, roaming and apparently on a CDMA network.

He does not need to unlock it if he's using a VZW for roaming.
I hope this help:

So, if you're in singapore you'll have to dial the exit code which is 001 or 008 + 1 + area code + phone number (in CDMA mode)
in GSM mode get the is the + sign and then the phone # in the US.

Storm is a World phone, it should work on any CDMA or GSM network while activated with Verizon, but you will be charged roaming fees. Just make sure its set to Global not 1XEV

Thanks for the answers and suggestions but using 001 or 008 as an exit code did not work. So I never figured out how to call the U.S. Also no e-mails. For some reason Verizon would not let me use GSM networks in Singapore either.

Did you call VZW to have enabled international dialing and add the $69.99 Global Data?. Because if you didn't you would not be able to do anything even though you pick up a signal.
