Will Blackberry DTEK50 work on Verizon?

I'm reading that the new Blackberry DTEK50 phone will not work on Verizon because of radio signal incompatibility (device lacks CDMA).

The DTEK50 makes use of these bands:

  • FD-LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29, 30
  • HSPA+ 1, 2, 4, 5, 8
  • Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE

Does anyone know of any way this phone may work on Verizon, or if there are plans of a special Verizon version of the device?

Unless BlackBerry decides to build a version with a CDMA radio, no, it will not work on Verizon.

True. Even if the LTE bands for Verizon were all present, they won't allow a device on the network that doesn't support ALL CDMA bands used by Verizon. I'd love a DTEK50 but I'm not moving to AT&T to get it. I'd also like to try a Lumia 950, but again, I'm not jumping ship to try a phone. Verizon is just too good where I am. AT&T is a very distant second. The other carriers are not even worth mentioning.
