I will probably have moved to T Mobile and retired from business before Verizon gets it's act together.  Kind of like any dealing with the government.  Just give us your money and we will keep you in the dark and feed you like mushrooms or play the blame game.

Has anyone seen a Verizon Z30 add?  If they are promoting it - where?  Kind of like mushroom fodder - BS.  I can go into my local store and not even find one on display, much less someone who has a clue.

Thanks Tidbits, I'm well aware of testing and other procedures. I still think that a 10.2 update that has been

out for months, should have been fully checked out by now. All updates for Android, iPhone or Blackberry

have been a very long wait. I've been a loyal customer for years, VZW still needs to speed it up as far

as updates go. Just MNSHO. I have tested the leaks, will wait impatiently for official release.

Folks can download a free loading program called Sachesi (information over at Crackberry forums) and install the Rogers version of 10.2 if they don't want to wait for the Verizon-blessed version. It's stable and all the features work as advertised. Direct loading of Android apps from the Google Play Store is supported too.

That misses the entire point.  Rogers has, available to all of its BBRY subscribers, a 10.2 OS (10.2.0.1803), and it's been available for months now.  Verizon can't (won't?) even answer (A) whether it even has the 10.2 OS [hint: if it's preinstalled on the Z30 the answer is "yes"] or (B) when, if ever, it's going to be released for either the Z10 or the Q10.  Very few people are going to go through the trouble to go download Sachesi and figure out how to load an OS from somewhere else, no matter how easy it might be to do; they're instead going to wait for Verizon to push it out.  The fact that Rogers (along with numerous other carriers) has had it available and in use for at least 4 months now while Verizon hasn't said boo about it is wholly inexcusable.

BTW - 10.2.0 will not directly load Android apps, nor will it connect directly to Google Play.  10.2.1 (which is rumored to be released shortly - as in, any day now) will do the former and run it, provided it's a free app; the latter is still turned off, but the pieces are there to enable it should Blackberry decide to flip that switch - though you can also use Snap to be the intermediary and access GP from there.

Irish_Blues is correct, 10.2.0.xxx does not load APK Android files directly, and 10.2.1.xxx is NOT available from Rogers yet.

Those are two different OS releases...

And the point still being, Verizon has not yet even caught up with the rest of the world to release 10.2.0.xxx...

T Mobile's new plan with global roaming is looking more attractive all the time.  I can deal with a little less coverage.  Might give me more peace from business.
