Ok so ive got the storm 1 and since ive had it since feb of 09 ive had i think 5 of them (been to many to keep track of) Well i cant get my app memory above 9 (i only have one thing downloaded from app world). It freezes about 5 times aday, i do battery pulls 4 or 5 times a day. Sometimes I will get a text and cant open it, other times if i touch the bottom of the screen it will act like i touched the top and if i touch the top is will act like i touched the bottom. I have the newest software i can get for it. Now when i talked to CS they said "it seems funny you keep having the same problem" Um hello alot of people have this same problems, and they said take it to the store. So i take it to the store and all they wana do it make me buy a upgrade. Now how is this fair? i have a phone that keeps screwing up why should i have to buy another phone?? Im thinking the best way to fix this is to just drop verizon all together and go to another company anyone else have this kind of problem?

Yeah I have done that I deleted pics, vids that came with the phone, have compression on and deleted all the languages and stuff. Priddy everything i dont use is gone games, apps, etc.

OMG!! Finally a place where I can vent and where others understand the frustration Im feeling towards Verizon!

 

   Well, If I tell you I too have the Storm 1, you should already know Im in the same boat with you. Which I hate the most about this, is that I just got it. I thought I treat myself to a better phone then the Alias I had for a better part of almost 2 years. I kept getting the comments that the phone was to small for me, or that it isn't a Mans phone. So when my 2 year contract was almost up, I decided to get a phone that will help me with my job and compliment me while I use it.

   So, December 22, 2009 I walk into a Verizon store and purchase my Future wife the EnV touch2 and I get myself the BB storm. And The nightmare begins. But I don't put up with it for long. Just in 6 weeks, I go through 2 BB storm! That's a Red flag if I know one. To go through 2 phones that quick,. For the same **bleep**, lame stuff. I was doing everything you were writing about. Taking the battery off, waiting for it to boot up. Having to put up with it freezing up on me. The last straw was when I wanted to take a picture of some parts I needed to send to my boss, and the **bleep** PHONE froze on me. So, I did what I always did. After placing the battery back on and the phone coming back to life, I noticed something shocking!!! I just had a few phone numbers in my daily call log. No Names.

Heaven Help me. This phone went alzheimer's on me and deleted all my contacts from my call list. That was it! I had it with that phone. I knew something was up, when this supposedly "smartphone" went **bleep** on me. SO I immediately drive to the nearest Verizon store and tell them I was getting ready to through that **bleep** phone out the window. And what does Verizon do instead of helping us out, because there PHONE SUCKS! The only way to stop that happening again, is to get a DIFFERENT PHONE. NICE! Yeah, like that's what I want to do every month, pay practically full price for a new phone and get charged up the **bleep**-percream for activation and new line and again, fill out the rebate form for a **bleep** 100 dollars.

     So I down grade to a kids phone because Im so upset with them. They don't care. They have the new storm 2 and they cant even say, "hey, lets upgrade you for free for all the trouble your having with that phone to the storm 2". Nope, they expected me to again, come out of pocket to get another line activated on my account, which is already 3 lines. And go through the whole song and dance....etc.

     My last 2 bills for Verizon were over 500 dollars. I've given them a THOUSAND dollars and they cant keep me happy by helping me get a new phone.  Im ready to leave Verizon, unless they do something here soon.

 

I hope this helps you out a little. Just to know that you are not alone when it comes to frustration with Verizon and their Storm 1 phone.

Carlos I am sure there are other satisfied Storm1 users out here like me. I had one exchange within the first week because the Mic was terrible on the phone. The brand new replacement works fine. I always have at least 21 Mb of free space, when I don't, I go thru the cleaning steps like clearing cache and call log. Pull bat. and it is back to full operation. I suspect you are not clearing out the three main places to clean or have some App that is interfering.

OK THE LAST THING WE NEED IS SOMEONE TELLING US ITS OUR FAULT THIS PHONE IS JUNK.  I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE BESIDES ME THAT OWN THIS PHONE, AND THEY ALL HAVE THIS EXACT PROBLEM.  REPLACING THE PHONE IS NOT GOING TO HELP. AND WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PULL THE **bleep** BATTERY 5 TIMES A DAY, OR EVEN ONE TIME A DAY TO KEEP THIS PHONE WORKING. NOR SHOULD WE HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY RUN THE **bleep** MEMORY CLEANER.  THIS PHONE HAS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM AND SHOULD NOT BE SOLD.   ALSO I PAID MONEY FOR THIS PHONE, AND ILL BE DAMNED IF IM GOING TO PAY MORE MONEY TO GET A PHONE THAT WORKS RIGHT. VERIZON SHOULD UPGRADE US TO STORM 2 FOR FREE. WE PAID FOR A WORKING PHONE, AND WE SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHED BECAUSE THEIR PRODUCT IS FAULTY. SO PLEASE STOP TELLING ALL THE PEOPLE THAT POST THIS PROBLEM WITH THE STORM 1 THAT THEY ARE CAUSING THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE THEY R NOT.   HAVE NO APS INSTALLED, NO VISUAL VOICE MAIL INSTALLED. NOTHING TO USE UP MEMORY.  I CAN DO A BATTERY PULL ON MY STORM, AND NOT TOUCH IT OR USE IT AT ALL FOR A FEW HOURS, THE TOUCH SCREEN WILL BE FROZEN OR WORK BACKWARDS WHEN I TRY TO USE IT.  THE PHONE IS JUNK, AND REPLACING IT WITH 5 OTHER JUNK PHONES WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

 

 

 

ALSO IF YOU THINK THIS ISNT A COMMON PROBLEM, TAKE A LOOK AT THE VEIWS.  ALMOST 700 HAVE LOOKED AT THIS, TRYING TO FIND A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM.
