Is there anything i can do to improve the strength of my signal?  I dont get dropped calls, but i noticed that my signal is usually low to mid.   FYI---I live in an area where there is full digital coverage.

Dial *228 from your handset, when prompted select option two. This should increase your signal strength.

Hi,

I know that signal boosters are available, but they are costly.  Many businesses use them to enhance the signal from a tower and repeat a wireless signal inside of their business, such as a hospital, factory, or school.  I think basically its a signal repeater.  You could do a search on Google for Signal Repeater and get an idea.

As far as doing anything to your phone, perhaps a regular battery pull might help.  Also, certain lights such as florescents can hamper a signal inside a home.  Not sure how a home WiFi system can affect your signal, but if you have one, maybe try switching your WiFi's channel in the setup on your PC.  Just a few ideas.

I am one mile from Tower and inside my home I have 3 bars. No problems with dropping calls. Outside the home I have 3 bars except when I pushed the green phone button, and then it went to 5 bars and when I rotated North where the tower is, it went to 6 bars. Weird when I pushed the green phone button inside where I was getting 3 bars it is now down to 2 bars.  I am right beside my comp. and my wife's Sprint phone doesn't work well at all near the comp.

i read an article a while back that stated that the signal gauge on your phone really doesnt monitor your actual signal. it was msnbc not sure what the title of it was, but the article was mainly to test Verizon vs ATT vs Sprint and how they measured up to each other and it was that tidbit  It just tells whether you are getting signal or not.  My wife's bb curve has 5 bars all the time.  My storm has 1-5 depending on what im doing on my phone and where im at.

You should do that at least once a month as a matter of habit. I also learned from Verizon to push 1 as well sometimes to re program your phone. It resets the PRL or something like that, it will not mess with your own phone settings.

I will make a point to do this.  I thought maybe once done always done.  Didnt realize i should make a regular habit of this. Just did it...and my phone went from 1 bar to 3.  Yay!!!

Kudos to you both!
Edited to rephrase and give props.
