I AGREE....VERZION DOES NOT MAKE THE PHONES SO IF YOU ARE HAVING CONSTANT FREEZING ISSUES WITH BBSTORM, YOU MAY WANT TO GET A HOLD OF RIM (THE COMPANY THAT MAKES BLACKBERRY). VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE JUST LIKE YOU (PEOPLE). THEY CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH. THEY PURCHASE THE PHONES FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND SELL THEM. SO IF VZW CAN'T FIX YOUR BLACK BERRY, YOU MAY WANT TO CALL RIM. IT'S NOT DIRECTLY VERIZON'S FAULT. ALSO, I LEFT VERIZON FOR SPRINT AND I REGRET IT EVERYDAY. I'M CONSTANTLY DROPPING CALLS AND MY PHONE DOES RANDOM THINGS ALL DAY, BUT I CHOSE TO LEAVE A GOOD COMPANY AND NOW I'M PAYING THE PRICE FOR IT.

ALSO, JUST A HINT, THE STORES ARE BASED MORE ON SALES AND COMMISSION SO IF YOU GO IN THERE WITH A PROBLEM, 95% OF THE TIME THEY ARE GOING TO TELL YOU TO GO HOME AND CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT MAKING THEM MONEY COMING IN WITH ISSUES WITH YOUR DEVICE.

You are right. I had the same problem we got charge for spam. When I called customer service gave me a code to put in so I would not receive that spam again. So I guess every time you get a spam you have to call to get a code also, how in the world can a cell phone get spam text. I believe Verizon knows exactly what they are doing to make money. On top of that they do not even advise you that it is a spam and not to open it. We have unlimited text so I guess that don't mean sugar honey ice tea to have that when u getting charge 10 dollars a spam. Smh

Call VZW CS, 800-922-0204, and ask them to put a block on what is called Premium Text Messages ( otherwise known as Text by Advertisers, always charged out at $9.99 per text) and that will fix your problems now and in to the future.

I take exception with your HINT. Some VZW stores have a Tech Support Person and their job is to fix your phone if they can. Commissions only apply to sales people.

They explain it up front.  It is user initiated, or is accepted by the user explicitely.  A person incurs this kind of stuff by texting certain codes to game shows, etc.  Granted, it might be in the fine print, but it's something that you have to be careful of.  And if it's happening, a quick call to VZW can get it turned off.  But it's not VZW's fault or error, they are pretty up front about it.  Research things before you hit SEND.  Smiley Happy

When you go to walmart and buy a Samsung TV, and it doesn't work when you get it home, walmart doesn't tell you to take it to Samsung, they exchange it or give you a refund.  Verizon doesn't make the phone, but I didn't buy my phone from RIM. Verizon sold me the phone, therefore they are liable for it.  This whole don't blame Verizon is **bleep**. They may manufacture the phone, but they are liable for selling a faulty unit.

This is just my experience, but out of all the service providers I have had over the years (Cingular/AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) Verizon has had the best customer service and coverage. The workers at all the Cingular stores I went to (years before it became at&t) were downright rude and looked utterly bored to be at their job. They never offered solutions to the problems I had with my phones and never told me about discounts that I was eligible for. T-Mobile cost me $700 for something THEY did. They put me on a temporary phone number when I first switched over to their service. The temp number only lasted a couple days, but when I went to leave T-Mobile years later, they charged me for an early termination of the temp number (which I never even used) and charged me for a separate phone for that number, along with a separate line just for that number (which I did not have.) They had charges built up by the time I left for a whole separate line the whole time I was with them, that I never even had. All because they forced me to have a temporary number for a few days before mine got cancelled with At&t. They also looked bored and **bleep** to be at their job, and treated me like an **bleep** when I went in with a problem. After that I switched to Verizon and have had the best customer service ever since. They've made accomodations and discounts on everything I buy, even if I do not have an upgrade available. I also have never, to this day, dropped a call on any of my phones from Verizon. There was a point when I was with at&t where I couldn't talk on the phone because every call was dropped. I hope no one else has had such terrible customer service with any service provider as I have.

I made the switch from T-Mobile to Verizon on April 2nd. I have been nothing but impressed with Verizon. I was with T-Mo for 5 years. T-Mo is a pretty good company but they just don't match-up with Verizon when it comes to service, coverage, products and features. I even convinced my wife to make the switch as well. What I like the most is that being in the military, I get 15% off my calling plan, 12% off the data plan and 25% off accessories and I get 3G coverage in the woods and overseas. Verizon is the best!!!

My first Storm went bad with the installation of the version 5 software.  It developed many problems, unrecognizable voice commands, failure to dial, self-determined restarts wherever it felt in the mood, etc. Now I have a remanufactured like new replacement Storm which is buggy.  This is the 1st replacement and it is 1 day old.  It has the same issues my original one had plus others.  I went to the shop I bought the device yesterday to have them transfer data and that went well.  Today the voice commands don't work just like on the original but unlike the original one, I cannot adapt my voice to see it it can work.  Called BB service from the store and all I got was non-service.  They want me to wipe and restore it!  And if it is not successful, they want to send me another remanufactured like new unit.  I just want out of Blackberry with a like kind unit replaced at no charge which works on the regular Verizon network.  They can't do that sim[ple task!  I am not happy but I will try the wipe and restore, knowing it probably will not work!
