Receiving emails through another carrier

I currently have a Storm 9530. I called Verizon to unlock the phone since I'll be travelling to the UK next week and want to use a pay-as-you-go SIM card from a local carrier (e.g., Virgin Mobile) while I'm there. My question is this:

When I place the UK carrier's SIM into the Storm, would I still be able to receive emails from the account I have registered through BIS?

Hey GS,

Okay so your presumption is correct. However, just like VZW, you will have to register you Host Routing Tables to whatever carrier you decide to go with. You should be able to obtain that with whom you purchase the SIM card. Once you register your device will have access to that carries network and you should be back in the game. You would use your browser like any other browser, just not on VZW's network. 6 to 1, half dozen to the other.....

-Good Luck-

FYI - Even though Vodafone sells/supports the Storm, RIM apparently cripples the Storm when using a pay-as-you-go plan. No internet or email is available - only texting and calls.
