I have a 3 month-old Blackberry Storm 2 9550 and subscribe to VVM. I have had problems with VVM from the beginning (spontaneously uninstalling, disappearing from menu). Most issues have been resolved with one exception: There is no way to tell when I have a message without going into VVM, pushing menu and selecting "Check New Messages." There is no message indicator on my home screen unless I first go through the procedure I just described. This is useless, because at that point i then already know that I have a message (or ten). i have to remember to continually undertake this procedure and manually check for messages throughout the day. I have missed many messages this way. I have looked at help everywhere I can, pored over the manual, returned to my original store plus two others and have spent much time on phone with customer service. No one seems to be able to correct this. Some of the sales people don't even see it as being a problem. Is this the way it's supposed to work? I would like to just look at my BB and see that I have voice mail messages (like the red asterisk indicators that show up if there are email or text messages).
Thanks
Hi,
There is an option in the Sounds profiles that you can alter to your tastes. Go to Sounds>Edit Profiles> and select the active profile you are using, in my case it is Normal. Scroll down to Other and expand it. There you will see Visual Voice Mail-New Voicemails. You can check which Ringtone to use, the volume and other things. After you adjust what you want, press the Menu key and Save and then exit. If that does not work for your problem, then try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Hope this helps.

My sounds don't seem to be configured in this manner, but I will experiment with other ways to get into sounds/ringtones and see if I can figure it out.
Thanks very much for you help. I will let you know how it goes.
I am paying for it. Not in my email or app list, but there may be a way to make it show up. Will check it out and let you know. Thanks so much.
