No OS love for the Tour??

Okay, despite this being my first post here, I am not a total BB newbie. I had the Storm1 but after going through 7 of them I switched to the Tour. I know that as soon as one is ready, the OS 5 will be released for this phone but it is taking soooooo long. I don't load leaked OS's because I'm too chicken and most importantly I don't want to void my warranty. I see official updates and leaks everywhere for everything else, especially the Bold. Come on Verizon, where's the OS love for the Tour? Get the lead out already!

I feel your frustration.  I, too, do not want to install software that might not work 100% with my Tour, so I am also patiently waiting for an official release.  The Tour, along with a couple of others, is expected to be upgraded soon.  We users will only find out about it perhaps only a few hours before it is relesed from VZW.  So, for now, all we can do is be patient and wait.  I commend you for your insight in not upgrading with a leaked version.  Who knows, maybe Santa will visit Big Red and press the upgrade button for us by Christmas.

I'm pretty sure we'll see it as soon as the Tour 2 comes out a.k.a. Essex because the timing for OS 5.0 on Storm 1 was when the Storm 2 came out.

What is wrong with running a leaked version? I'm running a hybrid from Irtehun, and it is running flawlessly.

If VZW can have a 5.0 for the Storm 2, and the new Curve, there is no reason not to have it for the Tour. There can't be that much difference.

What's wrong is that people who does not have much knowledge about blackberries and stuff will have problem getting support from VZW.

I wouldn't get to excited about 5.0 because you may be dissapointed when it comes.  It was a big improvement on the Storm 1 but still pretty buggy.  But maybe when the Tour version is official they will have got some of the bugs out, could be the reason for the delay.
