Blackberry Storm 9530 screen display doesn't fit on device

Hi

I just got a call from my son in the eastern Washington wilderness and his Blackberry Storm 9530 suddenly messed up and the display screen is not fitting on the device.  Part of the display that is normally on top is now partially hanging off the bottom of the display.  Plus he can't see all of the icons.

Any help is appreciated as he is at least three hours from the closest Verizon store.
