All of the sudden I cannot zoom on my camera. It gives me a new icon at the lower right of the screen with an exclamation point which according to the manual indicated that the shutter speed is now set to a slower rate, but nothing is in the manual about the zoom not working... Also, is there any way to set the shutter rate manually?

I have researched the problem you are experiencing with the camera for your Blackberry. The best resolution is to do a "battery pull". If you will remove your battery from your phone, wait approximately 10 seconds then replace the battery and turn your Blackberry back on. I have checked and I do not think you can manually change the shutter speed with the 8330. Your problem is that the pictures you are taking are in low light for the camera and it is trying to compensate to allow more light into the camera thus giving you a slower shutter speed. You may try to open the camera options and change the Default Flash Setting to ON. That way you will always have flash when you take a picture and it will use a faster shutter speed.
