if i buy a blackberry curve from a friend can i connect it with a verizon account for phone service only and skip the internet connectivity charge. i have a friend with a pearl and does not pay $30 connectivity charge.

Having a Blackberry requires the subscription to a data feature of $29.99 or $44.99. There's no way around having the data feature...

As far as your friend goes, are they with Verizon? Because I know for sure there's no way to activate a blackberry without the data plan.
