Hi,

What version do you have now?  The current official Verizon 8330 OS update is 4.5.0.175 but there seems to be a huge bug with some type of feedback squealing in the speaker while making calls.  Many folks downgraded to 4.5.0.138 which seems to be the latest stable OS.  If you have at least .138, I would wait for the next OS release.  Not very sure when that will happen.
