Unlocking of Blackberry

Thanks Sidney for taking the time to respond to my query.  Verizon refused to unlock the phone, although i was a customer in good standing, and when I cancelled the contract after leaving the States, I paid the company $365 dollars for the Blackberry.  So much for a customer friendly outfit.  Separately I've acquire the unlocking code, but have not yet found time to see if it will work for me.
