Data package

I am about to upgrade my basic phone and was thinking about a blackberry, however it says i need some expensive data package? MY friend had a blackberry and chose not to pay for it. I really like the phone is there any way I can get it and use it as a regular phone no data package?

Also if there is a way to buy it with a small data package for like $30 bucks then end the data pack and keep the phone the same please let me know thanks!

In order to activate a blackberry on the Verizon network you will need to subscribe to a data package 30/50/80 dollars

No smartphone can be on their network without it. I'm sure once you have it you will end up doing more things with your phone than you do now
