Check number see if it is verizon

Before my BB 9330 updated to OS 6.0 i could check peoples numbers and see if they were verizon and not cosyt me minutes. How can I do that with the new OS 6

I only know of two ways to check for that - on Backup Assistant, the Verizon cell #'s have a red checkmark next to them. (if you use BA)

You can also go to Verizon's website and enter up to three numbers to see if the are "IN-Network". http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/LNPControllerServlet?path=lnppromo1

Did you have an app on the BB that allowed you to check?

If you have the My Verizon app installed (at least in the version on my iPhone) you can choose "Plans" and one of the options is "Mobile to Mobile".  I believe this is the tool you are looking for.  Good luck.
