Blackberry Curve Email sync problems

I am trying to get my blackberry to sync well with my computer.  I specifically want my blackberry to reflect that I read or answered an email on my computer and vice versa.  I'm not sure it can be done because I don't have a blackberry enterprise account.  

If ya'll could tell me how blackberry syncing for windows works to solve my situation I would really appreciate it.

I am having the same problem.  My company doesn't currently have a blackberry enterprise server.  When I am working in my inbox on my PC I have messages marked as read, but when I view them on the curve they are marked as unread.  Is there an option that will automatically sync the read and unread messages between the inbox and device?
