When I dial a number a voice calls out the numbers. Can that be shut off?
yes...its in the accessibility settings. look under hearing.
Depending on your phone, it will be in the Settings, Sounds, possibly Call sounds, Digit Dial Readout or something similar. Turn that OFF.
