I have a Grandfathered plan with 3 phones. (I have no need to cost myself more nor to make any changes as the new plans are terrible.)
I have a smart phone and 2 phones that are basic. no data and they are in my Messaging plan.
The ENV3 came off of data commitment to activate and I put that as one of my phones. It has been a real piece of junk. The speaker has gone out 4 times.
I wish to find another phone that like the ENV3 was considered a feature phone but now can be activated without data plan. Preferably a keyboard to it.
What are some options that I have and can give me a better experience than the ENV3? I could go new or used. Just looking for something that isn't junk.
Thank You

The LG Octane always got great reviews. It's no longer on Verizon's site but you can find it on eBay, probably even new in box.
I've read the Cosmos 2 has good call quality. I don't know anything about the Cosmos 3.
If I were shopping for a basic phone right now, I'd probably buy the rugged Intensity 3. That is new on eBay for $125.
Good luck deciding!

Well I had an ENV3 brand new for a few years and had no problems what so ever with it, was the best basic texting phone I ever had next to the ENV2. Only reason I gave it up was to finally get a smart phone so I keep it for back up. My husband now has an ENV3 replacing his ENV2 and no problems and his phone was had used for $10. My friend had an octane and the ring volume was very low to me and I believe that was a talked about issue with the phone. She had nothing but trouble with that phone so bought a used ENV3 and is much happier. Maybe who ever you go the ENV3 from it was broken to being with. Mary
