I just bought this phone today at Costco.  I already think it is great.  Not only did it only cost $10, plus tax of course, but I got the car charger, a case, a bluetooth headset and a set of earphones as well.  No extra charge!  If this is what buying a phone at Costco is always like, I am a convert!  I have only taken one photo so far, but it was the clearest, sharpest one I have ever taken with a phone.

Has anyone with an AC2 (America's Choice) plan activated this phone? I called customer support today and was told that "no currently offered phones can be activated with that plan" which I know is incorrect. Curious to see if anyone has tried.

as a user of the Reality for nearly a year now, I can say that this phone is great.

however, the key drawbacks are the lack of apps available for this phone (only via VZW media store), and the slowness of the web browser.  however, it seems that many of you that look to buy this phone do not intend to use it for web browsing.  so no real loss there.

in addition to this phone being great for calling, texting, music playing, it's also great for e-mail.  however, the e-mail app will cost $5/month - but certainly worth it.

Thank you very much for your feedback esp when it's from almost a year of using the Reality.

(1) Could you talk about what the average battery life has been in between recharging ? At the website samsung-reality.com, the people that talked about their battery life said they get around 24 to 72 hours between recharges. And at cnet.com in a review for the black Reality dated July 4, 2010, the customer said for the first seven months he got around 3-5 days of battery life; but he said that after month number seven that his battery lasts for barely a day.

(2) After nearly a year, how are the responsiveness and the accuracy of the touchscreen ? And how durable has the touchscreen been -- has it survived any accidental drops of the phone; have you felt like you've had to coddle the phone to protect the screen or the phone from any damage ?

LOL - Costco always seems to throw in a bunch of extra goodies - we bought three phones (2 upgrades and one add a line) several years ago and were not disappointed.  The only downside is I lost my (at that time) $100 NE2 credit, but the savings on the phones and the goodie bags made up the difference, so it was a wash.

Since then, I've been upgrading online directly through Verizon, but I shop and see what our local Costco has, and what's  available online, and make my best deal.  The only complaint I have about the Costco kiosk is that the display models are non-working, dummy phones, so it's hard to really get a feel for them.  But we have a Verizon store not far away that DOES have the working models that you can use to make calls, send texts, browse the web, etc.

Anyway, glad to hear you got a great deal, and I hope your phone continues to satisfy!

Two question.

(1)

Since, aside from a few auctions on ebay, Costco appears to be the only place right now to buy the U370, what is their return policy these days for a cellphone ?

About two months ago, Verizon changed its return policy for cellphones purchased from the Verizon corporate stores from 30 days to 14 days.

I am wondering if this policy change affected Costco's cellphone return policy.

(2)

If my family for one reason or another wants to return the U370, does Costco charge the $ 35 restocking that Verizon charges for purchases from Verizon's corporate stores ?

Hello,

I'd like to ask someone who already owns u370:

The Costco website says that this is a global phone and has a sim card. Is it correct? As far as I know, the Samsung Reality was not a global phone.

In my local Costco they couldn't give me the answer because they didn't have a real phone to open, but promised me to find out within a few days.

Apart from the Costco website I couldn't find any information about u370, not even on Samsung's website.

I also wonder - who is going to provide support for this phone in case something goes wrong? In Verizon they know nothing about it.

Thank you.

Had a similar question. If you have an issue under warranty, who or where do you go?

I talked to a rep at costco about their return policy...i do know that it was a better return policy than what verizon has...for exchanging a phone i believe its still 30 days at costco...and i was told if anything went wrong  with the phone within 90 days they would replace the phone with a new one ...not a refurbished one...costco will make things right...their customer service is excellent...at least it as been for me

Any idea after the 90 days? I was wondering if Verizon would replace it up to one year like they do on their other phones.
