So...I now have to pay for the privilege of buying a new phone? This just burns me. What's next...a charge to pay my bill? I have been a Verizon customer for 20 years and I am mad enough to buy out of my 4-line contract on principle alone.
yep they will tell you that they all do it but that ain't necessarily so.
To top it off, I could get the same EXACT phone and 2 year contract MINUS the $30 upgrade fee just by purchasing it as new. This makes sense how?
You left off the $35 activation fee for a new phone.
It is common knowledge, though, that T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint all have upgrade fees. In the industry, I imagine those are the only carriers that really matter. The interesting part is that VZW is NOT the highest in the industry (interesting only because they are usually the most expensive on every front).
Anyone tired of all the "I'm furious/angry/upset over $30 upgrade fee" threads? I am.
My sincerest apologies for forcing you to double-click
All the major carries do it as far as I know, verizon is just last on the bandwagon. Mary
