I currently have an iPhone 5. I am outside of the USA for school and have a local simcard. Would I be able to replace my current verizon simcard with the local sim and use it while I am outside of the country? I would still plan on switching back to my old sim when traveling back to the USA. From my understanding the iphone5 is already unlocked. Just want to make sure I can do this without compromising any features on my iPhone

cdemonte25, Congrats on your studies, abroad! You're absolutely correct; the iPhone 5 is already unlocked for International use of Global SIM cards. Here's more information surrounding our Device Unlock policy http://bitly.com/1BDQy5r. Regarding the features and settings of your iPhone 5, we do recommend doing a Backup using iTunes on your PC or iCloud to ensure your phone is restored properly, if information is lost during the SIM change.
