Why are all of our devices ringing at the same time?

My family has 4 iPhones on a Verizon account.  When there are two or more phones in the same room and one gets a call, all of the phones ring and show the same in coming call.  How do I get this to stop happening?  All the phones are through the same Itunes account, would that affect the in coming calls?

Yes, everyone should have their own iTunes account.  You can still share apps and control purchase through the itunes family sharing. 

you can also go into Settings/FaceTime and turn off iphone cellular calls.
