Phone ghost typing & opening apps

My iPhone 5c has been ghost typing & opening apps by itself. I would try to get on Facebook & another app would open. I sent my phone to an Apple Store, they couldn't find anything wrong. I think this issue may be a software or update issue, does this issue sound like a software or iOS update issue? Has anyone else had this issue? It's very annoying.

You have reached the ghost busters are ready to solve this mystery.  How long ago did you complete the software update? Are all the applications having this issue also up to date?

I did update to the ios 9.2.1, updated network settings, and the updates that I have waiting are still needing to be updated. I have like 3 updates waiting. I did the updates 2 days ago. I don't think its the apps I have now. It was before Christmas when my phone started acting up. I did all the trouble shooting that I was recommended and still have this ghost stuff happening. So I don't think its the apps I have now, if were the app or apps that caused the problems then it would be before I tried trouble shooting and sending my phone in to the apple store. They could not replicate the issues and so therefore I could not get a new phone. My phone is under warranty until February.

SoftballAllstar23, if I may join in on this ghost busters expedition, lol. May I ask how often do you use Facebook?

If you go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage and under the Storage heading, click on Manage Storage, how much storage is the Facebook app itself using?

SoftballAllstar23, in your first post where you indicated that when you would try to get on Facebook another app would open. So that does seem like a software issue as you've mentioned.

I would first try going into Settings > Safari and Clear History and Website Data, to see if that simple approach might help.

As far as I can tell Facebook is a 100MB program and the iPhone is showing 456MB. Here is an interesting link on that and where reinstalling Facebook may help.

I'm having the same exact problem. I've done all of the iOS updates and my apps continue to open/close on their own, starts typing randomly, and then freezes.  I've restored my phone to factory settings 2-3 times and it still continues.  Help!

smithpm511, ghost busters have arrived. When you say your apps continue to open/close on their own, are you referring to Apple's built in apps, or 3rd party apps > (An application that is provided by a vendor other than the manufacturer of the device)?
