How do I un-sync 2 iphones?

I have 2 Iphones on my account (Wife and Son).  They each have Ipads too.  These devices are all linked together.   They share contacts, photos, emails, etc.   I would like to remove that link between the 2 so they are separate.  How?  I believe the phones share an Apple ID which I believe to be a primary reason but was hopeful they could share the ID but be separate.

They should have two separate Apple ID's but share music and applications with Apple Family sharing. Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support
