Hi,
I'm so confused and could use some help. I leave in a couple of weeks for a semester in Spain. My father offered his old iPhone 7 that is no longer active (he finished paying it off a year or so ago). Can I take this phone to Spain and insert one of their sim cards in it? Seems to me Verizon should have unlocked it once it was paid/became inactive. If I can take it to Spain, do I need to do anything other than charge it and load a sim card?
Thanks in advance for advice!

We're so excited about your upcoming trip to Spain. Studying overseas is an amazing opportunity! You may use that iPhone 7 on a different wireless carrier's network. However, you will need to contact that carrier to verify if this device is compatible on their service. Please contact them directly for assistance and to answer your specific concerns regarding how to provision it to work on their network. I hope that this information is helpful to you.
