I reached out to Verizon several times prior with little luck and partial credit, but in the end they reached out to me and honored the promotion. I'm only guessing, but I believe my post on here caught the attention of someone that was able to assist. I received a phone call from customer care one day who were genuinely concerned with the issue and wanted to make everything right. In the end I was impressed with them. It restored my faith in Verizon. If you're in the right try contacting customer care and if you have to, go ahead and make some waves on here. Sometimes it works...
