Apple Music Family Plan

I have three lines on my account, all of which are Apple products, 2 phones and 1 iPad. What benefit is there to sign up the two phones with Apple Music "included" in the price of one of the plans that does include, when i can do a Family Plan through Apple for $14.99. However, the plans available limit the amount of straming available if I chose the lesser plan to accomodate the Family Plan from Apple.

To be clear one line is on Play More Unlimited and the other phone line is on Do More Unlimited to take advantage of the 50% of the iPad line. So I have Apple Music with the Play More Unlimited line and a 6 month subscription on the Do More Unlimited line. And nothing on my tablet line as it is just an Unlimited plan. But to sign all three up for Apple Music would be a total of $30.00 additional. Yes each plan has its pros and cons, but let's just keep it at $30.00, I'd have to sign the tablet up through Apple directly and then have to chose a plan that allows the tablet half off access and Apple Music, which would be an additional $10.00. But if I drop all lines down to the lowest Unlimited settings, I'll be limited on streaming capabilites and will then be able to get the Family Plan direct from Apple.

So why can't Verizon work it out so that The Apple Music is separate and can be an add on to allow a Family Plan?

You're looking at this the wrong way. You go for the unlimited plans based on *Verizon* features. Apple music being included in some packages is fairly new. Verizon has no intention to add the Apple family plan nor should you focus on Apple music as part of decision making.

If you need higher streaming, go Play More / Get More. If you need Apple Music as a family, get that directly from Apple for $15 a month. Don't even focus on which plans Verizon have including it.

Out of curiosity, are you using a separate Apple ID for the iPad than the 2 iPhone lines or are you using the same Apple ID as you are on one of the iPhone lines. If you are using the same Apple ID for the iPad as you are for the iPhone line with Play More Unlimited, then you have Apple Music on the iPad for no additional cost as that Apple ID already has Apple Music active on it. There is no reason to use a 3rd Apple ID on the iPad separate from the 2 iPhone lines. I am able to use the same "included for free" Apple Music subscription on my android phone, iPad and Apple TV to access music. I didn't need a separate Apple ID for each of the 3 devices and sign up for a "family plan" in order to have Apple Music on all 3 devices.

That is a very good question, j007conks. We definitely understand the need to have Apple Music as a standalone feature for this situation. At this time, we only have the ability to include the Apple Music feature with certain plans. This is an agreement we have with Apple. If we could offer the standalone feature, I assure you that we would. Does this information help?
