I know this has been talked about...and that most everyone out there is all hyped up about the next samsung galaxy, but as soon as the HTC one came out i was glued to it... until they announced the carriers. No Verizon version. WTH?? Im telling you BIG RED...you have two choices now that my contract is almost up. You either a) announce some stupidly named droid device that is very much akin to this HTC one...(maybe with a better battery)...or b)i will switch to sprint and say...bu-bye

Well that was my intention all along...to use my powerful connection to force their hand....oh crap, i forgot. I dont have any. Ok... switching gears. Um Big Red? PLEASE!!!! Ok seriously...ive actually called verizon and their answer was, well...if you want this phone why not try the DNA. And im sorry but thats crap. Its SO not the same phone...
verizon dont like carrying phones that other carriers carry. the galaxy s 3 and note 2 are exceptions because the market share for those devices are big so they would lose big time money not to carry them..
verizon prefer manufacturers to make exclusive verizon phones EX: HTC DROID DNA... SAMSUNG DROID CHARGE MOTOROLA DROID LINES.
samsung put its foot down last year by making the SGS III identical across all US carriers. verizon had no choice but to swallow the pill. good for samsung now HTC its trying to follow samsung steps. verizon feels that they wont lose much money by not carrying the htc one
NOW HERE IS THE REASON WHY VERIZON DECIDED NOT TO CARRY HTC ONE.
Imagine verizon advertising the HTC ONE in a TV AD ..... why would a new customer get and HTC ONE from verizon when that same new customers can get it from t mobile and save big time money over the course of 2 years??
verizon only like phones they can tout as exclusive.
hopefully the HTC DROID DNA is the last droid phone we will ever see.
If manufactures start selling the same device year after year across all carriers... Carriers like verizon will lose its stranglehold in the industry. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT.
The problem is...what verizon should be promoting is their good SERVICE, rather then the exclusive phones they carry. It doesnt make the phone any better...so what they should do for us customers is sell the samsung phones and HTC phones across the board and just have better more reliable services as their hook...rather then this gimmicky

I agree about the DNA. How can you have this powerful a phone with only 16 GB of internal memory when the cost of cellular data is so high? It just boggles the mind. I would think the sales figures of the DNA are dismal.
Im an iphone user right now...and am frankly bored to tears of ios....and ive been looking at the DNA (16gb joke) The galaxy s3 (eh) Note 2 (way too big to be a phone)...and then saw the one and was highly impressed...of HTC that is. Verizon...not so much
while i agree with your sentiments, how many threads do we need on this issue? if you haven't found it, there's an extensive thread about this.
Right I'm sure everyone would be outraged if there were no "Droid Quadruple Max Forensic Northeastern Laser DNA" Verizon exclusive with 16GB's, not expandable because we only have 14 of those to chose from.
It's just soooo nitpicky to ask Verizon to carry the best phone on the market like every other freaking carrier.
