SErvice at home in Marlborough MA has gone from excellent to zero in past 2 weeks. anyone know how this happens?

It could be anything from your phone going bad, to weather, maintenance on the tower you hit, to maybe a cut fiber line, to upgraded operating system on a Note 3.
Can you offer a bit more information.
Is the service totally gone?
Does it get better at night?
What is your phone and what is the signal strength, (Not the number of bars)

Reading many posts similar to this and mine where the service has steadily gone down hill over the past 6-10 months - paying for 4G and maybe get 1 G. Coverage map shows me in the red but experience is quite different.
