Stop the prompt to update GS4. I know how, just ask. No need to buy a new phone because Lollipop "broke" it

Please tell me how to stop it

The upgrade broke my phone.  I have a new replacement that keeps wanting to update

Is there a way to

Permanent tell it NO?

Thanks so much for your help

If it is a Samsung device I believe you can disable Samsung Push.

1. Clear cache

2. Begin upgrade

3. Upgrade will fail

4. Use norootfw

5. block sw/update service

Thank you soon very much for getting back to me--- but I am a novice. I'm used to the iPhone and am lost on the android.

If it's not too much trouble could you tell me step be step?

I don't know how to clear the cache or even what the othe stuff means

(And the update will definately fail doing your steps. I've already lost all my info and the update crashed two phones )

I am truly sorry to be such a pain because you've been so kind, but I am at the end of my rope.

Clear android cache

1 restart device

2 hold power button and vol up button

3 enter safeboot mode

4 select clear system cache

5 restart phone

6 run update

7 install should fail because you deleted update file download

Good luck

I'm getting the S6 which is stock LP

Important - make sure you disable ota first
