Is Verizon experiencing network outages in the DC/MD area? I haven't been able to send or receive an e-mail over my phone (or access the Web) for over 24 hours. What's up? Thank you.

Hello WendyBook! Let's find out what's going on. Can you provide us with a zip code please? Also, is this effecting other Verizon Wireless customers?

I'm in zip code 20814, in Bethesda, MD. I can now receive e-mail, but
phoning (hearing) is difficult from my building and always has been. Both
people, on either end of the conversation, basically have to shout. I
borrow a friend's phone (he uses T-Mobile). You'll see people outside our
building (called the Chase) phoning from outside--even today, a very cold
day.

WendyBook,
Happy to see that your email is working again! When did the trouble start with the audio? Did the problem start when your email trouble began? You said that you see people outside of the building. Do you mean there are other VZW mobile users having trouble with indoor signal? Is the audio back to normal when you make calls outdoors? How many bars of signal strength do you have indoors? Outdoors?

Phone reception is poor inside my building for Verizon users, and has been
for at least the four years that I've lived her (zip code 20814, downtown
Bethesda, Maryland). I get about one or two bars. People place and receive
calls outside the building when possible, even though it's less private.

That must be challenging to do on a regular basis WendyBook! From what you've said, this issue is mainly inside your building, correct? Service elsewhere seems to be ok? It could be something in th building interfering, causing bad/no service. I would recommend a Network Extender. This is a great device for indoor service! http://vz.to/IHRT6h
Thank you,
