Why does my phone say invalid card. I have been using it for 4 months. How does the card become invalid? Please help.

If you're referring to the SIM card, have you tried reseating it? In other words, turn off the phone, remove the SIM card (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), wait a few minutes, then reinsert the SIM card, turn the phone back on, and allow it a few minutes to establish a fresh network connection.
SIM cards can sometimes go bad. If reseating doesn't help, you might try a new SIM card ... they're free at Corporate Verizon stores or by calling Customer Service.
