moving cursor backward in text for corrections droid eris

when typing, email, text messg, etc ...if a spelling error is discovered earlier in the document, how do i get the cursor back to that poing without erasing test; i know you can "touch" with finger back nin the doc where u see the error, but this highly inaccurate

You can try using the trackball instead.

tap and then use the trackball to move it. thing i found thats the most accurate is to use the very tip of your thumb, and not pressing with your whole finger, but yeah, just tap then scroll.
