Did you recently port your number from another carrier?  It can take a day or two for the port to fully complete, and your old phone needs to be off.  (Remove the battery to ensure it is completely off).

I understand how important it is to be able to receive messages! I'm sorry for any inconvenience in switching to your previous phone. To clsrify, since switching the devices, are you now able to receive messages?
