Have you made sure your imap app is up to date?
Go to Settings>Sound and notification>Application notification>imap and make sure the proper selections are made
The email app is the one that associated with the android OS and is the
same version as the OS. I have also verified that the notifications are on
and have even trying changing tones and adding the vibration, but nothing
has worked. This is very odd as I have other emails which use the app, but
are exchange type email set ups and the notifications work fine for those
accounts. As well, I have a gmail account and the notifications are
working for that as well.
I know it is important to make sure you are able to get notifications on your email jprevite55! I appreciate the troubleshooting you have tried so far. Is your Wi-Fi turned on when you don't get these notifications? Is everything else notifiying you? Try truning off your Wi-Fi to see if you get the notifications. If none of these work try to put your phone on http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-77504/ safe mode.
