Keeping your calendar events synced correctly is important! Let's make sure you can take care of this on the phone of your dreams. I did find a great step-by-step guide to syncing your Outlook calendar with a Samsung device using Kies 2.6. Check it out: http://bit.ly/1ij22AD

Not sure why VZW support is telling you to sync w/an app????
In your calendar settings - granted you already have the outlook account set up on your phone thru the "corporate" option or will just be an "email" icon - that's not gmail... (generally 1st time it will just say "other") But during that set up - you can choose to sync your calendar.
If you're past that point - the initial set up and ur Outlook email is already syncing. There are MANY ways to get calendar to sync.
The easiest is to just open ur phone calendar, touch the menu button and there will be an option of either "Accounts" or "Sync". Click on that and add ur outlook account to sync.
If you need help adding the actual Outlook acct to ur phone.. I can help there too. You'll have to know the settings to your Outlook acct to do so. (Server/proxy/etc)

Hi Tara!
Congrats on the new Galaxy! Do you have your Outlook set up for email yet? Or is that where you want/need me to start? If so - then you'll need to know two things.
The Domain name and the exchange server.
Both of which, you can either get from your current laptop or pc Outlook account, or if you had/ have your outlook email on the phone you just switched from - OR from your company IT department.
Domain name - the actual domain is something that the IT department decides on - though it will be the same company wide (normally). And the FULL domain name you'll enter into settings will be abcdomain\username
(Username being whatever you log into your work email or server connected computer with.
Exchange Server - is the web address that you would log into - if or when you wanted to check your mail from any internet connection. Generally something like: mail.abcdomain.com.. Most often referred to as "webmail" by IT Departments.
Sorry if you already have this covered and didn't need THIS part of it - but figured better to be safe than sorry and save you time.
If you already DO have the email set up - in Samsung, this would be set up through: Settings/Accounts/Microsoft Exchange Active Sync
Once you have the email set up, it will show up as an option under "Accounts". Click on it, then click on "SETTINGS" - then on the (your) email address - then Sync Settings - then More Settings.
Let me know if that works - and if it even makes ANY sense at all !!! Haha...
By the way - ANY Verizon Corporate store is generally more than happy to set it up for you - but you DO have to have the domain and exchange server info.
Keep me posted!!
