galaxy s5 wifi not working

My wifi has very strong signal but phone will not connect. Sits for minutes trying and then says no connection yet galaxy tab and laptop and iphone5 are working fine

Try shutting off Bluetooth if it's on.

May I ask how long is your wifi password? If the password is less than 8 characters or more than 63 characters the wifi button will remain grayed out. The fix would be to change the password to match the requirements.
