data usage

We have managed to go over our data usage twice this month. We have HTC desire 612 and an LG G3 phones and we have wi-fi that we use at home. We don't use our phones that much So why is the data usage out of control??? I'm beginning to wonder if Sprint is cheaper because I refuse to pay 400$ a month for just two lines. Help me!!!!

Have you checked Data usage under settings to see what apps are using your data? You might also see that wifi isn't setup to automatically use data if it thinks wifi is too slow. Called smart switch on some versions not sure what os versions you are running.
