just got a charging dock for my casio commando. when i plug the phone into it, the clock comes on, stays on all night until i unplug the phone from it. Does anyone know of a way for the clock not to come on, seems to me its just going to make the screen burn out faster.
You should be able to press the power button and turn off the screen.
Once the phone is on the dock, you cant even get to the power button. Powering off the phone isnt an option either.
There are only 2 solutions:
1. Turn off the "Desk Cradle" app (found under Setting > applications > running apps). I have tried this and it is not my choice because during the day I want the cradle app to work so the phone display turns sideways in the cradle. I have found the restarting the app makes my commando unstable and often reboots it.
or
2. Charge with a cable instead of the cradle. This is what I do at night because the phone is in my bedroom.
