Sorry to hear about your troubles, but you have a few options!
First, you can call up Verizon and make payment arrangements, the financial department is usually very accommodating in these circumstances.
Second, after you are able to pay your bill, or even now, you can suspend your service without billing for up to 90 days (i believe). That means you won't have service for 90 days, however you aren't being billed either. If you have a contract, please note that it will push your upgrade date back the number of days you suspend your service.
If you are not under contract, you can make your payment arrangements then cancel, and of course try going to a prepaid phone that you can afford.
Good luck!

Hey Xyvis ... I want to chat with you about upgrading my Verizon phone. Is there a way I can get in contact with you?

Sure. Follow me and then when I get home. Around 11pm eastern time I will accept and we can correspond that way, or if you'd like I'm willing to chat outside of the forums. Let me know.

Please be aware that this is a peer to peer community forum and not a direct link to Customer Service. The only official VZW reps here are clearly marked as employees and Xyvis was not one of those employees. If they are an employee, there that's a whole different issue.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Hi Ann154,
As you mentioned all VZW employees are clearly marked, that being said it is clear I am not an employee.
That being said, if I have made a reference to me being employed by Verizon Wireless in any of my previous posts, please let me know so that can be remedied.
I am not a Verizon employee, nor do I claim to be one.

You made no claim to be a Verizon employee, but Waldocmh may have assumed so, nonetheless. Ann154 was simply pointing out that fact.

That was my assessment too. It appeared the other poster might have assumed the user replying was an employee. Therefore I replied to clarify the types of user who officially represent VZW on the forum.
