I have a new Moto e. It receives texts and calls out, but when it receives calls they go directly to voicemail without ringing. What can I do? I have not changed any setting to make calls go directly to voicemail.

I tried pulling the sim card but now incoming calls don't even go to
voicemail. It just says its not accepting calls at this time.
I have tried turning it off and on, but I don't know how to do a "soft
reset." I've never had a smart phone before.

I've had a similar issue with my Droid Turbo. When it thinks I'm driving, it will try and read me the caller ID but also tries to ring, and makes it very hard to hear. If you have driving mode turned on, try disabling the read caller ID option.

Thank you. Since I don't know how to turn on driving mode, I assume its
not on.

Thank you. I tried those. Now when you call the phone, it just says it is
not accepting calls at this time. Crazy to get a new phone and it does
everything except take phone calls. There must be something wrong with it.

It turns out this was a problem with porting my old number. Which I didn't
suspect because I could call out and receive texts with that number.
