:brew text messages - how do I get rid of them?

I just bought a new samsung stratosphere and I keep getting the Http:brew 3094050496034670843059 reply to cancel messages. Please help me get rid of these! I am reluctant to reply to them as other forums say that does nothing.

I would love to not get these annoying messages anymore!

I'm not sure if this will help, but there's a suggestion on this thread: https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/503064

You can reactivate your old phone for a minute and kill off ANY email accounts you were using on that device, then reactivate the new phone and all should be good
