I am trying to backup my contacts to my pc. I run windows XP. I downloaded the synch program and went through the steps.

It said it synched but I don't know where the file went to.

I don't normally use outlook but I will use it for backup.

Any help will be apprecitated.

There is a way to use the HTC sync with backing up your contacts on your PC. I have provided you with a link to the HTC Eris user manual that will give you step by step instructions on how it works and how to use it to back up your contacts to your PC.

HTC Sync™ lets you synchronize Outlook and Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), contacts and calendar events on your PC with your

phone. I hope this will be helpful to you. http://infomanagerdoc.ddc.vzwcorp.com/EQUIPMENT_GUIDE/equipment_guide/wep/Manual/htc/Eris.pdf The information you need will start on page 184.

I have followed those steps and yet nothing shows up in my outlook contacts on my pc.

It shows in the synch report that 0/0 items transferred.

Does the phone show that it's syncing with the PC?
