The recent update to android on my Galaxy S3 is causing much faster than usual battery drain. With moderate use my S3 used to last me 2 days. With the recent update to android the phone doesn't even last a day. This needs to be remedied soon. Is Verizon going to do something about it. I have seen multiple forums on the internet. This issue is happening to a large number of people. If Verizon can't get the current update fixed they need to resend the previous version to allow people to back out the new version.

I saw a discussion on another forum. They suggested trying to completely
reboot the phone and then place it on the charger. Doesn't sound like it
makes sense but it worked. The phone rebooted during the install of the new
version. About 3 weeks later I rebooted the phone again and now the battery
isn't draining like it was. A single charge and moderate use lasted me
about 2 days. I'm glad rebooting the phone worked. Although I would be
curious to find out why it did work.
