Okay well this happened a long time ago on my Eris and I never uploaded it. But this would be cool if this can happen on purpose.

I've seen something in the settings that seemed to imply it could do that, but I've never gotten it to work. Are you using sense, or do you have some other homescreen launcher?

nope it normal sense ui and i was just sitting there and it changed

No luck, I went into everything in settings and couldn't find it. I even checked the spare parts app. This has actually been really bugging me, thanks a lot.

If you are in an app in landscape mode and hit the home screen button you can periodically get this screen. Why would you want it? The auto rotation feature itself is only supported in apps that support portrait and landscape. The sense UI home screen doesn't really support it. It just is a flaw in the rotation from the app that does support it. This hasn't done it to me since I have had 2.1 installed though..must have have been a 1.5 bug.
