This doesn't really make much sense. A nexus 6p connected to your network provides a monthly resource.

Verizon simply needs to provide Google and the AOSP community with the technical details for utilizing Wi-FI calling with their network. The phones have code built-in to them to enable or disable the Wi-FI calling features based on which carrier's SIM is installed, and is controlled by a ruleset baked into the OS. That's why if you pop in a T-Mobile SIM, suddenly Wi-FI calling appears as an option under the Advanced Cellular Network settings.

Also, AT&T doesn't support Voice over LTE on non-AT&T phones. So Wi-Fi Calling would not work pleasantly like it should with them anyways. Works fine with T-Mobile. Sprint, no word yet on what they're doing for VoLTE since they're trying to hack smooth handoff into their CDMA network.

Joseph ~ Now that Verizon is a week away from releasing the new Google Pixel phones, will they be allowing 6p users access to wifi calling at that time as well. Doesn't seem like there's any logical reason not to at that point, is there? Thanks for your help!

Except the 6P/5X are STILL phones Verizon doesn't sell OR support.
