Can I use the wifi hotspot and still make/receive calls on my Droid?

I believe what happens is the call will come through, but your data connection will be suspended.
Also if that is your MAC address under the device description, I would delete it.

Is it possible that I may be able to do both in the future? I hear AT&T has that ability.

ATT uses a different technology that allows it. VZW has already stated at some point down the road the option will be available to 4G users.

You can talk and surf at the same time over both 4G and 3G with the Thunderbolt

They are using the phone as a hotspot, so the phone is actually using data, which in turn would not work when on a call.
