Awhile back ago, my husbands phone automatically shut off and came back on with a system upgrade. I expected that mine would do the same, but it never did. I am stuck with old platforms and without Google Play - it's still the Android Market. Is there a way that I can manually upgrade my phone?? If so, please advise.
Thank you!

Which phone does your husband have and do you have the same model?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Tap on the Menu key. Tap on Setting>About phone>System updates. It will then look around and inform you that yes, you do have an upgrade, or no, your phone is up to date. Before you do this, however, I would advise you to make sure that your phone has at least 70% battery usage left. If you do have the same phone as your husband, I bet your upgrade came in unbeknownst to you. You can check it against your husband's phone. Again, tap on the Menu key>Setting>About phone and look at the Android Version. The latest one is ICS and is numbered 4.0.4.
