When, if ever, will LG Spectrum get Global Roaming activated?

While not officially promissed, Verizon reps indicated that the original Spectrum has global roaming capabilities that would be turned on later in 2012. Now that ICS is out, we still don't have global roaming. Is this ever going to happen?? I asked this already on the LG Forum, and was told it was the carrier's decision, so how about it Verizon?

You make me laugh man.. Verizon is a fourth class organization when it comes to keeping words in a timely manner, or at all. Early 2012, a Verizon spokesperson DID confirm Spectrum to receive an update to unlock GSM radios. Based on that, in-store reps also set the expectation with their customers that the update is coming. Moreover, for Rezound, Verizon *ADVERTISED* in plain terms everywhere including retail stores that it will be updated to a global-ready phone *soon* - but nothing yet. I have a Rezound I am eagerly waiting fir it,

Don't expect much from this fourth-tier company.
